This is a 125 volt circuit analyzer which will help protect your RV from improperly wired electrical boxes and power surges. Right up at the top here there's four diagnostic lights which will indicate faults before you even connect your 50 amp electrical cord so that you can avoid damage to your RV. Right down here on the bottom is a chart that'll show you, when lights are showing, what the problem might be. If you notice on each end here, they have built in power grip handles. This female portion would connect to the RV receptacle, a lot of newer RVs are being equipped with receptacles or connection points just like this one and then the locking ring threads on to the locking connector on the RV and that provides a very tight, secure connection and really prevents accidental disconnecting. On the male end, 3 prong design and it's got a finger tab or finger grip for easy connecting and disconnecting. Today, we're going to take a look at the Camco 18 inch long Power Grip 90 degree locking electrical adapter. Has a 50 amp female plug on this end and a 30 amp male plug on this end. Now, this cord is for hooking your marine style 50 amp RV power inlet to a standard 30 amp power source. A 90 degree connector, you can see right here, reduces the strain on the RV connection an allows easier connection in tight places. You can lock the 50 amp head onto your power inlet of the RV and then connect the 30 amp plug to a standard 30 amp power cord. Today we'll be reviewing part number CAM55165. This is the Camco Power Grip RV power cord adapter. It's going to feature that nice little handle. This is 125 volt power cord adapter which is going to let you convert your RV's plug to work with the electrical hookup at an RV park. It's going to feature the 30 amp female end that connects to your RV's 30 amp power plug and it's going to feature the 15 amp male end thats going to plug into a 15 amp receptacle. It's got the built in handle. It's going to make unplugging very, very easy. Another neat feature about this system is it has the bright yellow ends on it which is going to really make it pretty visible even in low light conditions. It's always nice to have that feature available. Taking overall length, measuring from end to end, it's going to give us a measurement of about 13 inches and then the cord itself, just measuring the amount of cord between the 2 ends, it's going to measure right at 6 inches. Today we'll be doing a review of the Camco Power Grip RV Power Cord Adapter Plug at 125 volt with a 30 amp female to a 15 amp male connection, part number CAM55223. Let's go over a few features of this adapter plug. This here has your standard fifteen amp plug that you'd find in any outlet in your house or you could use a power generator, you plug it into the fifteen amp outlet. This side here has a female for a thirty amp RV style connection. I'll use this adapter cord here as a demonstration for you. This would be the end on your camper or RV in a thirty amp. So you would simply plug this into your standard fifteen amp household outlet and then plug your adapter cord or your extension cord from your RV, camper, motor home into it. You would be limited only to fifteen amps going to your camper, RV, motor home, so you must remember that. A lot of times you won't be able to run your air conditioner or whatnot with that, but you'll be able to use the lights and the smaller things in your RV, camper, motor home that don't require a lot of power. This also works really well if gone for a long weekend, you come home, want to clean your camper up in your house. Simply plug this into your household outlet, connect into it, and recharge your batteries, clean out the camper, run the lights and not run your batteries down completely. more

What this maximizer will allow you to do is when you pull into an RV park and you might have an option of a 15 amp or a 30 amp electrical outlet and your RV has a 50 amp power cord what you can end up doing, you can plug this female end right here and thats to your RVs 50 amp power plug and then with these two ends that are divided off here you could actually, instead of getting one or the other, if you plug both these in you can get a 45 amps of combined power. This male end right here is 15 amps. This one right here, this 30 amp male end will plug into a 30 amp receptacle. If you plug both of these in at the RV park you can get a combined 45 amps going to your RV instead of having to just choose between one or the other. more
